T-BALL & JUNIOR SOFTBALL

The OSA Junior competition is made up of the following grades:

• Under 7 Baby Sox T-Ball  (non competition)
• Under 9 Kiwi Sox T-Ball
• Under 11 Junior Sox (Intro to softball with UPM Machine)
• Under 13 Rookie Sox
• Under 15 Developing Sox
• Under 19 - tbc
• Taieri Plains Mid-Week Junior Competition - tbc
• Secondary Schools Competition

AGE ELIGIBILITY

T-ball & Junior grades (including U19) are determined by age.

Players must be under the age of the grade they are registering in as at 31st December of that year.

GAME DAYS/TIMES 

T-ball & Junior games are played on a Saturday morning with the first round starting at 9am and the last round normally finished by 11.30am.

Under 19 grade is played on Monday evening between 6pm & 8pm - this is still to be confirmed

Taieri Plains Competition is played on a Wednesday afternoon between 3.30pm - 6.30pm - this is still to be confirmed

Secondary Schools Competition is played on a Thursdsay afternoon between 4pm - 6pm - Run by OSSSA

SENIOR SOFTBALL

The OSA Senior Compeition grades range from our Division 1 which is our most competitive level of play down through the divisions that range from competitive to more social fun and new to the sport levels. ​​​​​​​

• Division 1 (Premier competitive)
• Division 2 (Competitive)
• Division 3 (Social competitive) - tbc
• Under 19 Grade (competitive) - tbc

You can seek dispensation to play in a higher or lower grade via your club/school using the Dispensation Request Form.

If you have played senior softball for another association previously then you will need to transfer before you play in Otago Softball Association.
